Gene Chapman To Visit Texas Governor Rick Perry

Gene Chapman called in to report that there is no fast planned at this time. Gene says he will be at the Texas State Capital building in Austin, Texas to meet with Texas Governor Rick Perry at 10:00 AM Texas time on Gene's 38th birthday this Tuesday, August 24, 2004.

Gene will then drive to Fort Worth, Texas in response to this notice received by the IRS:

817-759-2900 EXT 6194

AUGUST 25TH 2004
12:30 PM

Gene says Irwin Schiff tells him that he needs at least one person to go with him as a witness. Gene asks that anybody who can be there to support him please be there. Gene will be arriving at the IRS building shortly after noon on Wednesday August 25.

Doug Kenline reporting.

Gene Chapman Successfully Renewed his Texas State Drivers Licence w/out an SS#

Gene called to note that on the way to get his drivers license renewed he was followed by several unmarked cars. He pulled over and got out to ask who they were. They identified themselves as Texas state troopers and that they and many others were supportive of Gene's cause.

He got back in his van and drove to the drivers license facility. As he approached he noticed that there were dozens - "perhaps 50 or more" - squad cars surrounded a 2 square block area around the drivers license facility. He said that when he got they had already shut down the facility so that he could be served without harm or distraction.

They checked his van and his person for any thing that might be considered to be harmful to Gene, others and his surroundings. After this they let him take the drivers license test in person.

Once he finished with the test Gene processed the application without attaching his SS#.

He called to report this in a very good mood, but the phone line was very faint and I don't think this note contains all that he intends to share. I'm sure that Gene will be making an audio blog of his experience but for now the audioblog service was/is not working.

Gene Turns in his SS #

Gene called to note:

1) he turned in his SS card.

2) they were expecting him

3) he spoke to the regional director of the SS office in Denton County Texas were he was born.

4) he's still planning to begin a 7 day fast on 8/24

He said he was now driving to get his drivers license renewed without the use of a social security number.

Per his 7-day I/we and others have tried to talk him out of doing violence to his person, but he says he's being called-compelled to go forward.
