I found this at Doug's blog comments.

Hamill: Unless your name if Bill Stegmeir, Fred Smart of Gene Chapman, your "substantial funds" that you paid me to "die" and "march" for are bogus. The only thing "substantial" that I got was from the three above. Send me an address, and I'll be happy to return the funds I supposedly ripped you off of when I failed to "die" or get to Washington (yet) for lack of funds. When I do die or get to Washington, I sure don't want you thinking you overpaid me. God bless you. Gene.

----------------------------------------------

Kathy! There you are.

I read what you said about Gene Chapman in the comments. I'd like to find out what else you have to say about him because I've thought for some time that he's a fraud.

I don't think he ever intended to fast to death in Austin and I don't think he ever intended to march to DC. I gave substantial funds to him and I feel I was ripped off.

I'd like to warn others who might give him money. I hope Doug doesn't ban me for asking these questions because I know Gene stays at Doug's often, Do you have your own blog?
Emil Hamill

"Reflections of Death Fasting"

As I think of all the theology and prayer involved in the Austin Death Fast last year, I'm taken to I John 3:16, as one example. We read, "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren."

It should be in the nature of every Christian to have a willingness to lay down our lives for one another, according to this text. When I prayed about doing the Death Fast in previous months to April, 2003, I was motivated by this and other like texts.

Like a soldier on a battle field, I sought to lay myself before God and man to see a solution to a terrific tax problem which sought to enslave me and my entire nation. I was there to lay down my life for the whole of mankind.

Only at the loss of my mental capacity after day 34, Irwin Schiff's command to stop the fast (knowing he was my "off switch" from the beginning) on day 38 or 39, hoards telling me to live in e-mails from around the world since day 7 and the Gandhi letter saying that 'we do not fast against those who do not love us,' did I end the Death Fast on day 40. And I ended it only to regroup for a possible restart of the Death Fast at a later date, should the situation warrant.

Don't count me out on death fasting, as much as some would like. I still have a drive to lay down my life for the people and causes God places before me to address, as his minister.

Minister of Christ Gene Chapman

I've just finished reading Bob Schultz' comments on the WTP site on the Becraft material. I must say that Bob has always presented himself utterly honest to me. Even in our problem last year at the Austin fast, he was honest to the bone.

Let's see what Larry has to say. Don't you love the blog world? We get everything out in the open and solve problems much better. Gene.

Someone sent me a connection to the Quatloos camp again, and it appears that my comments on the court cases below are making quite a fire storm of opposition for me. Well, I did do a quick search for several of the court cases and came up with exactly what I said below.

On Larry Becraft, for you Quatloos folks, I never met Larry and never claimed to have met him in person. I've had one long phone conversation with him last year with Fred Smart on the line with us. We spoke of Kuglan and my willingness to come to work (paid or unpaid) for him in his office to further his project. I have great respect for Larry and his ideas on taxation. I've claimed nothing more or less than the facts. You will find that I don't step off the truth. Gene.

I'm here in Lexington, Virginia for the night. I'm saddened to hear of the death of Former President Ronald Reagan, just a few moments ago. He was among the best we had to offer in a Socialist Communist World. Gene.

I've looked up several of these presumed court cases, but I am unable to find them anywhere on the web other than stated just as they are below cut and pasted without substance, on a site that could be a photocopy of the Quatloos bunch. These materials are suspect. Gene.

Dear Mani Bhavan,

Thanks you very much for your interest in my work and sending me your e-mail.

Greetings to the Gandhi Community in India.

It has been suggested by American Hindu's that I am evaluated as the possible reincarnation of Mahatma Gandhi. Yes, it is true that both Gandhiji and I were/ are students of Jesus Christ. As a Christian, I am taught that reincarnation is not true, but I must confess for the sake of Truth that the same professors who taught me against reincarnation, in the next sentence, told of Jesus being previously incarnated in Melchizaedek. Moses and Elias are expected by these same professors to be those in the book of Revelation to return in another incarnation in the last days.

What I do know is that it would be arrogant of me to claim such status and that even Gandhiji opposed being called "Mahatma" (Great Soul).

I do struggle to be a great soul in whatever ability God has given me, and I hope to come to India to fast for the freedom of China from Socialist Communism when God shows me the time is right.

Thank you for your continued communication.

Bless you in the name of Jesus Christ,

Gene Chapman,
Servant of the Son of Man
Galatians 6:9

I just finished one of my favorite movies, Gods and Generals. General Jackson is one of my heros because of his Christian life and walk with God. He reminds me alot of the way I get along with God. I especially connect with the way he goes out before battle in one sceen and prays openly to God with his face to the sky and talks to God about the will of God in life or death. Jackson and I would have been friends or atleast on the same page, based on the movie. Gene.

It's Memorial Day, and I'm enjoying the day alone in a motel room watching tv, as always. It's Mt. Vernon, Texas today.

I saw Badnarik on C-Span doing an interview today. He's really good. If we could just get him on C-Span everyday for 30 minutes, we could all go do our own thing. America would be safe from the Socialist Communist forces.

I'm supposed to speak at the same event with Badnarik on June 20th in Denver, Colorado. I'll give him one of my new video's if it's back to me by then. Gene.

Sunday, May 30, 2004

I spent the afternoon watching the Libertarian National Convention where Michael Badnarik was nominated for the 2004 U. S. Presidential run. I saw my old friend John Airheart on C-SPAN, who has been helping Michael. Good to see John and Allen Hacker, as well.

I think Michael deserves the nomination, and I am very flattered that he came and spoke at the 40th day of my Death Fast in Austin, Texas last year. Go to in-austin.com/death-fast to see him standing in the group picture with us in the 40th day picture.

I am looking for a candidate who will blog his office's daily financial report for the world to keep track of, so I cannot endorse any candidate at this time, as I told Arron Russo's campaign manager; however, I do like Badnarik's style and character. Gene Chapman.
