Update: Well folks, it looks like we're all set up to take Paypal Donations on both and Thanks James, Fred and who ever else is working on that. You guys are doing great work! Please feel free to keep mailing checks to Gene K. Chapman, c/o Fred Smart, 3242 Harrison St.,Evanston, Illinois 60201.

Oh, I almost forgot, the reason that man and his wife in Michigan need a special $300 donation to get them down here to help me caravan march to Washington is that they have paid the ultimate price for being in the tax honesty movement -- they lost everything but the RV they live in. I need that kind of committment supporting me and driving for me on the TAX MARCH ON WASHINGTON. When someone asks about the sinful government I preach against, I can just point to their horror story infront of the news cameras. Let's get them to me, folks, in Jesus name. Gene

Round Table Talk: 1) I washed the RV ($3.00), bought sandles for the TAX MARCH ($16.91), bought gas for the RV ($14.50) and got a 2 ltr drink ($1.37). Total expendatures for May 31, 2003: $35.78. Total deposits: $300.00. Balance: $264.22.
2) I drove to Bastrop, Texas to get the lay of the land in my head for tomorrow's march and found it is 30 miles away. So we will most likely be staying at an RV park for $15 to $18 Sunday night after the day's marching, in Cedar Creek, Texas city limits down on Hwy 71. Noting this lower cost, I think I would like to try and stay more in RV parks rather then motels on the march. The oak trees are big, shady and beauitful here to Washington D.C. I think cooking on an open fire with an RV caravan is the right plan for the march. It will build more unity and allow more conversation with other RV people along the way to Washington. 3) I want to try to get that man and his wife down from Michigan to join me with their RV. They need a special donation of $300 to give them the gas to join me. Please notify Fred, if you feel led to make that donation, so we can get them on their way to me. With us staying in RV parks and shopping in grocery stores instead of McDonalds, the projected daily cost of the march I'd think would be $60 per day with three people instead of $100 per day for two. That's the kind of math God likes -- more action for less investment. 4) We have basic signs up on my RV, but we need 4 to 8 banners made up for my RV and atleast one more RV. E-mail me, if you want to donate time or money to have these banners made. respectfully, Gene

Update: I just picked up my RV for window washing so we can put new signs on it for the TAX MARCH ON WASHINGTON. The mile walk to pick it up went fine. A fellow happened bye who had filmed me for his local cable access show and expressed an interest in being my driver at 7 a.m. tomorrow at the corner of Woodward and Parker. He's checking with his girl friend now. I hope some of you will come out to see me off on the march there where I did the fast against the IRS. I'll let you know if there are any changes. Gene, LET MY PEOPLE GO, exodus

Update: I just checked, and is up and running. We are now working to transfer more materials to this site. Fred Smart will be making most updates to this permanent platform for the new movement, LET MY PEOPLE GO.

Don't forget that I will be joining you all in the fast for a driver to get me to Bastrop, Texas tomorrow in the TAX MARCH ON WASHINGTON. We have 4 days of marching money on hand, according to Fred's update to me. Gene

Round Table Talk: Make donations payable to Gene K. Chapman, c/o Fred Smart, 3242 Harrison St., Evanston, Illinois 60201. Daily updates will be made here in my blog on deposits, expentatures, etc. to be utterly transparent with the TAX MARCH finances. Gene

Thank you Fred Smart. This whole thing couldn't have happened without your coordination and brilliant mind. No kidding, Gene

Round Table Talk: 1) I am asking everyone to begin a fast right now until I let you know that a driver is on site for the TAX MARCH tomorrow. The fast could end as early as 7 a.m. tomorrow. If no driver arrives, I will go back into and join you in the fast until a driver arrives. I'll be sitting at the corner of Woodward and Parker, where I fasted against the IRS in Austin, Texas after I notify Fred Smart via phone down the street at the Holiday Inn of the situation on the ground, so he can update this blog for me. 2) Fred and I have been in contact with a husband and wife in Michigan who want to caravan with me and another fellow in Virginia, but TAX MARCH finances are too tight to get them here at the moment. Gene

The Communism We March on In Washington: See: "The Autobiography of Martin Luther King, Jr.," p.20. Dr. King would support the free printing of Irwin Schiff's book, "The Federal Mafia." Dr. King writes,"Third, I oppose communism's political totalitarianism. In communism the individual ends up in subjection to the state. True, the Marxist would argue that the state is an "interim" reality which is to be eliminated when the classless society emerges; but the state is the end while it lasts, and man only a means to that end. And if any man's so-called rights or liberties stand in the way of that end, they are simply swept aside. His liberties of expression, his freedom to vote, his freedom to listen to what news he likes or to choose his books are all restricted. Man becomes hardly more, in communism, than a depersonalized cog in the turning wheel of the state. This depreciation of individual freedom was objectionable to me."
Dr. King describes the communism we march against in Washington. I know what it is to stand in the way of government in a 40 day death fast and be "swept aside." You all saw it done by Treasury Agents, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Congressman Bergess and the whole beurocracy. Irwin Schiff knows about having his "book" banned. I guess most of us know what "subjection to the state" without due process in the IRS system is about. You gotta die to be heard by this government, it seems. We are marching on communism, Gene

UpDate: I was just over at Fred Smart's blog and read Bob Schultz' comments on my ending the fast as being a 'breaking of my vow' and that it has cost the movement 'currency.' The fact is that I kept my vow. My vow had 4 criteria: 1) The IRS must show me my tax liability in the law; 2) The IRS must retract its challenge to my taxes; 3) I must be presented with new profound material that out of respect for the IRS and allowing them to save face, I would have to stop the fast to evaluate the material; 4) I leave my dead from fasting body on the street as a testament against the IRS. Criterial #3 was met when the director of the M K Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence (see: explained new letters I'd had not seen before from Mahatma Gandhi which exclaimed, 'We do not fast against those who do not love us,' and 'We do not fast against those who feel they are right.' I am sorry I didn't ask Bob's permission to stop the death fast, but I made it clear in every conversation and every interview that my fast was a personal matter between myself and God. I'm sure my death would have given Bob more "currency," but I would have still had to have met God having not stopped the fast according to the criteria God and I had agreed upon. Sorry Bob, but I'll have to stick with God on this one. respectfully, Gene

Round Table Talk: 1) I am aware of two seperate donations totaling $300 on its way to deposit with Fred Smart for the TAX MARCH ON WASHINGTON, as of this moment. 2) Fred has a man in India now working to format the web site. 3) Please send donations discussed in my other round table talks payable to: Gene K. Chapman, c/o Fred Smart, 3242 Harrison St., Evanston, Illinois 60201. 4) I'll be making daily updates of funds deposited, funds used, etc. We want to be very transperant with God's money. 5) My documentary film maker, who filmed me throughout the death fast, took me to eat at the Sonic last evening, and he asked me a question I wanted to share. He asked,
"What happens if you get to Washington and they don't let God's people go?" I replied, "I'll be waitin' on the locusts to show up; have you read Exodus 10?" We laughed, but that really is my plan. I'll wait on God to judge those who will not heed him. I found it quite interesting that one of America's largest tornado outbreaks in all its history took place while I was entering the second half of my death fast. Even Pat Robertson reported about these tornados being the possible judgement of God on America. Since the burning of the Waco Branch Davidian Church, planned by government agents in the Oklahoma City Murry Building, there have been 4 tornados hit Oklahoma City. My message to the government is to comply with God's Word in Taxation or become "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" (see: Galatians 6:7and 8). Respectfully, Gene

Round table Talk: 1) Fred Smart tells me that Rose Lear (The lady who fasted 30 days in Washington just before my death fast began) contacted him yesterday, is 100% behind the march and wants to be my driver the last leg of the TAX MARCH, as we near Washington this September. That sounds like a fine idea! I hope you can drive a stick shift, Rose (ha ha). 2) Keep in mind that I still need a driver for Sunday to Bastrop, Texas. It might take 10 hours to March there, plus stops for meals. I'm still weak from the fast, so we'll see how it goes the first fews days on the amount of Marching, but it will pick up as the days pass and I strengthen back up. 3) I need you Bible students/ reasearchers out there to start doing studies of historical quotes from our founding fathers that I can use in my sermon against Communism, Taxation of Property, The nature of Freedom, etc. E-mail them to me, so I can put them to work for God. 4) Don't forget to come to my motel room for a brainstorming session tomorrow at 10 a.m. I'm at the Suburban Lodge in I-35 north Service Rd., less than a mile from the IRS building. Call: 512-712-9920 room #111 for directions. We need signs for the RV. Gene

Round Table Talk: Good Morning. 1) It's Friday -- just under 46 hours left before the TAX MARCH ON WASHINGTON begins at the corner of Woodward and Parker, here in Austin, Texas, where I was fasting across from the IRS building before. I still need a driver for atleast Sunday to get the March to Bastrop, Texas, 20 miles away. Like Dr. King did in his marches, I shall not be walking every inch of the roads to Washington; rather, I'll be walking when time allows and riding when time and conditions demand in order to get to the Capitol by Labor Day on schedule and healthy. 2) Some have wondered what will happen if I do not get a driver by Sunday at 7 a.m. Well, Gandhi, we recently found, did not think it moral to fast against those "who do not love us" or "think they are right," thus ending my death fast against the IRS. I think from the donation I read about that one is mailing into Fred Smart on behalf of the march this morning, "you all do love me," and "you all think it right for a driver to show." I'm sure I would begin another fast in personal penance for my failure and the failure of all of us to honor God as he seeks to heal our land through us (II Chronicles 7:14). Let us pray that I do not have to begin another fast in penance to God so soon after ending the death fast.

Right Idea: I've just just been informed via e-mail that a member of our movement is now in day 11 of their own fast in support of my work under the hand of God. They do plan to stop in an appropriate time. Let us all make fasting a normal part of our lives. The Apostle Paul was a fasting man (II Corinthians 11:27). David humbled himself before God with fasting (Psalm 35:13). Armys have been unified by fasting. Even Jesus said that some devils are not cast out except by fasting and prayer (Mark 9:29). Keep it up. You are the kind of army I long be with in a fight for a nation -- a fasting army. Gene

Round Table Talk: The TAX MARCH ON WASHINGTON will commence and proceed eastwardly on Hwy. 71 from the Austin IRS Building (Woodward and Parker), Sunday, June 1, 2003 at 7 a.m. to Bastrop, Texas. In Bastrop, Texas, I'll teach against the present Communist Tax System in the US Capitol from the Bible at available locations, promote as a viable Gandhian option to overthrow these communist ideas used in our government to tax property of individuals (Eccl 3:13; Pr. 31:31) and spend the night at the nearest motel or open home. Respectfully, Gene.

Round Table Talk

In about a week, Fred tells me, will be our official web site for the new movement, LET MY PEOPLE GO. It was reserved for us about an hour ago. We are working to get Paypal on the sites, but it will take time to get it hooked up, so do the FEDX thing until then to Fred's physical address, listed below.

Please keep in mind that we need signs for the truck. We The People Congress leadership dropped out of sight after the fast ended with little or no further comment, so we need to plan to stand on our own two legs in God's strength. I wish Bob Schultz and Hank Golts nothing but good, and please do help get that cell phone bill paid down for Hank. I had to do lots of talking to lots of far away places, and I know we must all help carry one another's burdens, financial or otherwise.

Let's plan to meet at my motel room in Austin this Saturday at 10 a.m. for TAX MARCH planning, sign making, and eating (ha ha). E-mail me at for directions. Fred and I are still looking for a driver of the truck to go a week at a time.

Round Table Talk

I was just doing some praying and musing over the funds needed for the WASHINTON TAX MARCH. Based on recent traffic to the blogger (500 hits per day), we will have about 100 potential givers to the cause online somewhere in the world in the next 24 hours. The Holy Ghost just tapped you on the shoulder, as you read this, so you know who you are. If all 100 of you got up right now and FEDX'd a check to Fred Smart payable to me for $100 (One Day's anticipated marching cost for myself and a driver for the truck), we could see God honored in this by paying off the total projected cost of the TAX MARCH by Saturday.

Imagine those treasury agents and congressmen that Fred told us about, who are logging onto my blogger, reading that the whole march is paid for ($9,000 plus) before it even started. I know from my own ministerial studies and experience that God breathes his blessing on those who get up and start moving toward right (Hebrews 11). FEDX payable to: Gene K. Chapman, c/o Fred Smart, 3242 Harrison St., Evanston, Illinois, 60201. By Faith, let's take back our country, In Jesus Name. An old preacher used to tell me back when I was in Bible College, "Work as if it all depended upon you; and trust knowing it all depends upon God."

Round Table Talk

Good morning.

1). Well we have ourselves a movement.
It's called, "LET MY PEOPLE GO" (Exodus 10:3), thanks to Fred Smart in that coordinator chair of his.

2) A permanent web site is to be set up by this afternoon for my permanent display of what will
be going off the current site. As soon as Fred gets the domain name
reserved, I'll let you all have it.

3) Both World Net Daily and San Antonio's 550 a.m. (KTSA) have indicated an interest in covering the
Washinton TAX MARCH, so we are building on the fast, not rebuilding.

4) Start sending those checks yall keep telling me you want to mail Overnight FedX if you can payable to:
Gene K. Chapman, c/o Fred Smart, 3242 Harrison St., Evanston , Illinois, 60201.

5) Deposits will start Monday by noon and I'll give you all an accounting of deposits, expendatures,
etc. each day here on my blog.

Round Table Discussion

I have asked Fred Smart to do everything in his power to find someone else who could be my driver as we start the TAX MARCH. It is clear to me that Fred is far too valuable in his chair on the phone in Chicago for far too many causes to just come be a driver for me without some serious lack of involvement by others who could do the job. Fred is certainly welcome, but I want to see God use his resources to the maximum possible ends. It's how I was trained in Bible College.

Also, we now have a map in hand indicating that Washington DC is some 1,600 miles from Austin. I calculate costs at $100 a day for 90 days, or $9,000 for the initial projected cost, assuming we sleep in motels and pay for food at every meal.

Comments are welcome,

You are invited to attend a planning/ brain storming session at my hotel room #111 in Austin, Texas on Saturday, May 31, 2003, at 10 a.m. email me, Gene Chapman, direct at: for directions.

News Update: Fred Smart is trying to coordinate financial support, etc. for the move across the country by the marchers. Sponsorships are being sought for a mile of marching cost from individuals and sympathetic groups. I am informed that has expressed interest. We are now awaiting further discussions.

Visit to see Gene's discussion on ending his fast.

At last call, Fred Smart is to fly in from Chicago to be Gene's driver on the TAX MARCH to Washington set now to begin Sunday in Austin.
LET MY PEOPLE GO (see: Exodus 3 and 4) is the theme of the March, expected to make 20 miles a day for approximately 1,300 miles with teaching along the way town to town, as the Lord provides. It is expected to finish about the beginning of September in Washington after a trek through East Texas, LA, MS, AL, GA, SC, NC, VA and then into Washington. "Communist Philosophy In the Capitol and the Right to Private Property Under God" will be Gene's sermon topic to the public and the pastors (See: Proverbs 31:31 and Ecclesiastes 3:13). We have now $100 on hand to start the March, after spending the other $900 that was donated in total for the fast on four weeks in local Austin motels and a little water here and there. (We did and will continue to use all donated money with respect to God) We trust God for homes to be opened for food and shelter and the hand of our God to provide the gas to get us to Washington in His timing and plan. Pray for us all.

Gene Chapman Ends 40-day Death Fast

Gene called me tonight and did the nightly audioblog report but the audblog files never showed up. They must have gotten lost in cyberspace. I apologize to everyone. I don't know what happened. Gene announced that he has ended the fast and will be picking up the blog as he is able and keeping us all informed on his own of how he is doing and what he is up to and how things are going for him.

Gene says he's been drinking orange juice and eating soft beef tacos. Gene says he is feeling good and on his way to a full recovery.

Thank you Gene Chapman for bringing some more attention to these serious issues.

Please log in to your blog as soon as you can and give us all a report.

Thank you James Ebert for all of your help with the blog and for your most excellent web site and the daily pictures. It's been a pleasure working with both you and Gene Chapman.

Thank you Hank Goltz for getting the cell phone for Gene that made the nightly audioblog reports possible.

Thank you Bob Schulz for flying down to Austin and helping to make day forty such a great day.

Thank you Michael Badnarik for being there on day forty.

Thank you Fred Smart for all of your hard work in getting Gene Chapman on the radio in Chicago and for calling the Congressman and Senator and the media.

Thank you Dave Toney for making the radio interviews available for everyone on the web.

Thank you Jeff in southern California for the fark traffic.

Thank you Irwin Schiff.

Thank you Rose Lear.

Thank you Maggie Bauer, Renee Haley, Mike Bodine, Ron Strom, Worldnetdaily, Carl Wigglesworth, Ron Newman, and Joe Bannister.

Thank you everyone who helped in this effort to bring more attention to these serious issues.

Everyone please add Gene's blog to your bookmarks and blogrolls. I'm sure we have not heard the last from Gene Chapman.

Everyone please stay vigilant and continue to learn about the issues.
