Day Nineteen

Today is day nineteen of the fast. We had twenty five people show up for our protest which I'm reall happy about. I didn't know whether to expect three or fifty thousand. You never know. So I just said well, we'll just leave it in God's hands. We had twenty five. Most of them from We The People. We had a few Libertarians.

And so anyway, we found that quite interesting. You know, all of us together, we found that quite interesting that you could find that kind of discrepency just among two people that work in the same department, on how they mark things down. Everybody's in agreement that yeah, you can get in deep, deep trouble with the IRS just because of how somebody wakes up in the morning and decides to mark their little red pen markers on your tax return. Actually those little red marks are keys to a computer to note where your tax return goes in the system. So we're actually getting quite an education. One of them said the supervisors are all talking about me. They were all talking about the group of twenty five who showed up today. So I'm hoping next Saturday at 10:00 AM we'll have another group and maybe we'll have twenty six out there next week. That'd be mighty nice.

Press coverage is picking up obviously. That's going to be the key to getting the message out. I did my interview with Worldnetdaily. They're saying that's the big question among the lower level people in the IRS is that they're all amazed that they haven't answered my question yet. They're beginning to question themselves at every level I think but especially at the lowest level, the work-a-day people.

Day Eighteen

Today is day eighteen of the death fast. We just had a lady come out here from the IRS who's going to go behind the screen and be interviewed for a cable access show here in town and probably Alex Jones they said also. So that'll be comin' out. I got an email from Munich, Germany today. And I've heard of at least four different web sites that are talking about me that I've never even heard of before. So you know that this thing is picking up steam. We're still claimin' to have some people come out Saturday for the big protest. Saturday at 10:00 AM here at the corner of Woodward and Parker.

I'll just give you a little bit of my theological study here if you care to hear it.

In First Corinthians 5:10 Paul tells the Corinthian church they were not to keep company with an extortioner. And in verse 11 it says even if they claim to be a Christian you're not supposed to have anything to do with them. In First Corinthians 6:10 it says extortioners shall not inherit the kingdom of God. In Ezekial 22:12 God smites his hand upon those who gain by extortion. And in Matthew 23:25 Jesus says to the scribes and pharisees, he says Wo unto you scribes and pharisees, hypocrites, for you may clean the outside of the cup and of the platter but within they are full of extortion and excess. And that word Wo is like you would say Wo to a horse. In other words if you were to understand that in the Greek it would mean buddy you better put some heels into this 'cause God's fixin' to tear your head off over this.

Of course if I die over this fast it is going to present to the Christian world a very serious moral argument that the one time Jesus used violence was in the overthrow of an extortion system there in the temple. Of course I'm a non-violent person and I hope that non-violence ends up being the solution here. It's the way that I will continue my entire life. It's considered and experiment, a non-violent experiment. But I want you to know that if I die I'll be the martyr of the non-violent and the violent groups if they decide that this is going to be resolved either way.

It sounds like the holy spirit is doing the right thing here. He's pickin' up the message and doing his work. I figured about day 21 we'd start seeing the move of God and here we are at eighteen and we're already seeing one. You know Daniel in the book of, in the book of Daniel chapter 10 he prayed to get an answer and an angel showed up 21 days later and he said what happened to you, you know, where were you. And the angel said that God dispatched me the second you prayed but it took 21 days to fight through the evil and the powers of darkness to get to you. So that's kind of been my mental framework since day one. I'm sure glad to see this coming together. Keep those prayers coming.

Day Seventeen

Today is day seventeen of the death fast. It's been a very active last 24 hours for me relatively speaking. We had Alex Jones people come by last night he's a pretty big time TV presence here and we've got a national radio program. They want me on the national radio program I guess sometime next week to build up a TV presentation that he's gonna do. He's filming it Sunday and it should be on the TV here in Austin on maybe Wednesday or Thursday.

Gened talks with IRS agents as they come to and from work. She said the chances of you having nothing happen to you for the same piece of paper you send in verses ending up in prison in deep deep trouble with the IRS are as arbitrary as how that IRS person, or which side of the bed they wake up on in the morning is what she said. I said there are eternal cosequences to IRS people being involved in a system that is an extortion system in the eyes of almighty God, forget the government.

Like I said it's opening up doors inside the IRS with people with the scriptures you know that they're familiar with and that their hearts are open to that I don't think anything else would. So I'm very comfortable with this scriptural approach. ABC is to announce that we're having our protest meeting Saturday at 10:00 AM here at the corner of Woodward and Parker here in Austin. That's exit 231 I believe off I-35. If anybody can come I believe we're going to have ABC present for the filming of it and we may have the Austin American Statesman as well, I haven't heard back from them but they seem to have an interest in our story. Alex Jones is supposed to film me Sunday. And I have an interview with a cable access program tomorrow Friday.

I don't have anything, I'm gettin' really dizzy and weak so I'm just trying to stay sitting down every chance I get. Don't forget to show up Saturday at 10:00 AM whoever can. It looks like it's a done deal. There's gonna be people here. We are expecting ABC to be present, the local people.

Day Sixteen

Well it's the last day of April 2003. Day sixteen of the death fast. I like usin' that death fast term. That shakes you all up. Anyway, we got the refusal to recusitate order kinda mapped out how we want to do it. And we got to get to a notary public the way we're structuring it, it's gonna use a notary public. We're gonna try to put up all the barriers to any doctors who want to argue with me at the last minute, or argue with my body anyway. I'm just enjoyin' the weather here in Austin, and all the pretty grils drivin' by wavin' at me. One simple question. Where is my tax liability in the law?

Did they ever get that little misprint straightened out about it said like the paragraph right under my picture on givemeliberty.org that I was asking hundreds of questions? And I asked Fred Smart to try to make sure that got cleared up and that no I'm not asking hundreds, I'm part of a group that's asking hundreds of questions, but I'm just asking one question. Where is my tax liability in the law? We need to get that fixed. I'm tryin' to get a drive for people to show up Saturday if they want to show up for signs and all that. I think we could have an impact if we had a big enough crowd to shake 'em up here you know. Just love your neighbor as yourself. That's about all I can tell you. That's the big law.

Day Fifteen

Well let's see, it's day, I have to turn around and look at the chart here. It's day fifteen of the fast. Been sittin' out here since about ten thirty. Well a couple hours to the hospital to get my refusal to resucitate order. So we got that kinda taken care of, I still have to fill it out and everything but I'm readin' it real close because I don't want them to come down here and start trying to pry my eyeballs out while I'm still alive.

I called the University of Texas this morning and talked to a law professor. He said that it was very easy to find in the code where you have a tax liability for an individual but he believed that it wouldn't be appropriate for him to come down here and give me a little fifteen minute lesson because of "catastrophic legal consequences". I'll let him bow out gracefully. Fred Smart, from We The People, and I three-wayed with a radio talk show host in Chicago this morning. I'm supposed to do a two hour interview up there in a few days but whenever, just kind of did a little introduction to him.

Well I'm just getting weaker and weaker. I'm tired. I lost thirty-two pounds the doctor said. We scaled me this morning. My blood pressure's real good. Actually I have border line high blood pressure as a truck driver. So this is actually helping me to pass my DOT physical the next time it comes around here in September in the event that I live through this.

I'm actually at 123/84 which is better than my normal. It's usually 91, 95, sometimes 100. So I'm glad to be able to get it down. I'm ready for the DOT physical now. And my weight is now 198. It was 230 when I started so I've lost 32 pounds. Gandhi said first the ignore us, then they laugh at us, then they ridicule us, then we win. Today I got a little bit of ridicule so I'm looking forward to the win.

Email From David Marsh To Gene

Hi Gene,

My name is David Marsh. I am a member of the W.T.P. Congress and Coordinator living in Northern Va., about 10-15 miles from Washington D.C. I spent March 26, 2003 through April 4, 2003 going to D.C. almost everyday to meet Rose Lear at her hotel in D.C. and then we would travel by cab to the Rayburn Congressional House Office Building to meet with her Congressman Pete Hoekstra and sit out front of the building with signs to try and get attention for OUR cause.

I would meet her around 10:30 am and we would be on Captiol Hill by 11am. I never met Rose before that or talked to her but when I read the story about her situation and saw her sister was going home I felt deep sadness. I couldn't believe she would be on her own then and nobody seemed to be helping her or cared. So I was moved to help her.

I would talk to her on the phone alot when I wasn't there also. I wanted to make sure she was alright and let her know she wasn't alone and someone cared. I would also pickup and buy things she needed to help her, especially water. I know a little of what you are going through. I could never know completely unless I was in your or Roses shoes. It felt very lonely sometimes. I couldn't believe it didn't seem to matter to anyone, especially our ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES. Her 2 U.S. Senators wouldn't even talk to her at all.

I felt like we were going against Goliath, or the Beast, and all these other people who supposedly believe the same way and feel the same way as US couldn't be bothered. I felt at peace and safe when we sat outside with our signs. I am not sure why, we always saw Capitol Hill Police around and they could have harassed us or tried to arrest us. But for some reason I knew that wouldn't happen and even if it did we would be okay. I talked to Rose sometimes asking why, what made her decide this. I would also ask her about her husband and family, and how they felt. Especially if she ended up dying.

I would tell her I hoped she wouldn't have to die because I wouldn't want to see that. And it would make me sad and scared that I might be the only person with her and around her if that happened. But I also understood why she could feel that way, because I have felt that way and thought I don't want to see this country and world this way.

Sometimes it would make me feel like I just want to get out or disappear, but I can't. I want to see the day we are all waiting for, to have Freedom, Truth, and Justice again. When we will be the Sovereigns again and the Govt. is Serving us again. It will happen. We have to get the Majority of the General Public to wake up. We can't give up.

This is as important as in the 1700's when we were first trying to become Free. I know you and MANY others want us all, our children, grandchildren, and everyone in this country to have that again. We will be FREE again, I know it. Just remember that and don't lose hope. When we lose hope we might as well give up totally. The people of this country must win.

I wish I could be with you by your side to help you. If I can help you in some way let me know. After all I am close to Congress, geograpically speaking. If you have a phone number where I could reach you I would love to give you a call. I hope your family is supporting you, and helping anyway they can. Remember - Knowledge = Truth = Freedom = Power. I bet Jesus is smiling and pleased with you.

Love and God Bless,

David

Gene Talks With Congressman's Office

Thanks to Fred Smart for getting Gene Chapman on the telephone line with the office of Gene's Congressman Michael Burgess.

And thank you Hank Goltz WTP State Coordinator for Texas for getting the cell phone for Gene to have with him at all times.

Gene and I were on the phone with "Patrick" in Congressman Michael Burgess's office of the 26th District of Texas which is Gene's district:

I had already spoken to Patrick in an earlier call just minutes before Gene called me on his cell phone so we decided to call Patrick back and let him speak with Gene directly.

Patrick was not aware of Gene's situation. He was less aware of the many questions about the federal income tax that have gone completely unanswered over the years. In my private conversation with Patrick I went into quite a bit of detail about the constitution, the tax code and legislative history that have supported this pile of unanswered questions.

Gene Chapman was very positive and cordial on the phone with Patrick. We learned that Stacy DeFino is Congressman Michael Burgess's specialist on tax policy.

Read the story at the Fred Smart blog.

Please call the Congressman Burgess office today.

Day Fourteen

It's day fourteen of the fast. I just took about a two hour nap here in the sun. I'm gettin' out of the sun from now on. No answers from the Treasury Officers yet. I haven't seen them since I guess last Wednesday or Thursday when they came out and said they were going to do some back channel research in Washington and so forth.

Debra Ferguson and her husband just showed up with some rebuttals to a little thing that was printed off the internet by one of the IRS agents just kind of actin' on their own, not an agent but a tax examiner he identified himself as. They don't really answer my question. They're just sixteenth amendment type stuff and of course I'm not asking sixteenth amendment questions I'm just asking where is my tax liability in the law, not if it's lawful, I just want to know if it's in the law. So there we stand.

Mahatma Gandhi used to say that Saka Agra, as it's called, is a non-violent war. He didn't shy away from using the term war so I consider this a non-violent siege war. The more people that are out here, obviously, Gandhi says if there's one out here there's three in there. Or we can infer that from his statement, he says that it's one fourth visible and three fourths invisible. Gandhi made a comment and I've noticed this as time progresses. He said first they ignore us, then they laugh at us, then they ridicule us, then we win.

Every day we're out here, and I don't mean to be trite, but it makes the IRS and the government and the Treasury look like a laughing stock. And it will be recorded in history to make them look like a laughing stock for every day that I sit out here and can't get an anwer to one simple question. Where is my tax liability in the law? People are amazed, just amazed, that I'm out her at day fourteen asking one question that is so central to our taxes.

Email From Rose Lear To Gene Chapman

Rose Lear posted an email to Gene Chapman today.

As each day goes by you will feel more and more tired. Rest as much as you can to conserve on what little strength you have to give. I know that you are feeling lonely and I would come to be with you if I could. I also feel your sadness that your life isn't worth telling the truth. Even the local media there in Texas are blocking you out. I want you to know that there are those of us around the country who are spreading the word about you in spite of the lack of media interest.

Day Thirteen

Well it's day thirteen of the fast. It's been a pretty quiet day. I was a litte too tired really to get up this morning but I got up for our little thirty minute prayer service with Debra Ferguson who came up for a thirty six hour fast yesterday. She's been fasting since Friday night and ended her fast Sunday morning she told me.

This morning I went back to bed after about thirty minutes. I'm kinda losin' my stamina. My physical stamina. I'm not having any trouble with the fast. The fast is the easy part. But I laid down 'till about one o'clock in my bed there in the RV. And I decided to come out and enjoy the rest of the afternoon in my chair.
