Subject: IRS Death Fast in Austin - Day 4

Gene Chapman, a 36-year old Texas native will begin his fourth day of fasting on Good Friday the 18th of April. The "death fast" is being conducted on public property directly across from the Treasury Building at Parker Lane and Woodward in Austin, TX. Chapman will not eat again until the IRS or anyone else can show him the exact statute in the IRS Code that makes him liable for the income tax. According to Chapman and the We the People Foundation for Constitutional Education, most Americans are not liable for the income tax as it is written. Historically, this is the third hunger fast in the past two years in relation to the legality of the IRS and the individual income tax. The first, which took place in July of 2001, lasted 20 days while the second fast, by a Michigan woman, ended on April 2, 2003 after 30 days.
